Since the development of a consensus and evidenced-based Integrated Nutrition Pathway for Acute Care (INPAC) for use with medical and surgical patients, the evidence base has grown with respect to the prevention, detection and treatment of hospital malnutrition. A recent state-of-the evidence review (SOER) has been carried out by the CNS Canadian Malnutrition Task Force to identify the latest novel and solution focused evidence to improve hospital nutrition care. This session will highlight the key evidence with practical suggestions for the uptake of best practices to address malnutrition in adult patients.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the webinar, attendees will:
- Be familiar with the latest evidence that supports the improvement of nutrition care in hospitals.
- Have insight into the best practices from the recent studies behind this evidence.
- Know how to implement best practices for addressing malnutrition in Canadian hospitals.
