About the Speakers:

Jen Sygo, MSc, RD, Registered Dietitian and Sports Nutritionist

Jennifer Sygo, M.Sc., RD is a dietitian with Cleveland Clinic Canada and the nutrition columnist for the Toronto Star. After completing her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at McMaster University, Jennifer went on to obtain a Master's of Science in Human Biology and Nutritional Sciences from the University of Guelph, where she specialized in Nutrition, Exercise, and Metabolism. Since 2006, Jennifer has served as a dietitian with Cleveland Clinic Canada, first as Director of Nutrition, and now as a consulting dietitian in private practice since 2012.


Nicole Springle, MAN, RD , Lead, Sport Nutrition, Canadian Sport Institute Ontario Toronto PAN AM Sports Centre

Nicole Springle is a Registered Dietitian who holds both a Bachelor of Honours Degree and a Masters in Applied Nutrition from the University of Guelph. Nicole has provided nutrition support to Canada's developing and podium-level athletes for the past 9 years. In her role as Lead for Sport Nutrition, Nicole oversees nutrition services for all the CSIO's national and provincial partnered sport organizations while also providing targeted nutrition support for several individual athletes. Most recently Nicole attended the Olympic Games in Rio De Janeiro to provide nutrition services to Volleyball Canada's National beach volleyball athletes competing in the games.
